Bio: Rev. Jean Morrow Pastor Jean has recently retired from Spirit of Peace United Church of Christ in Sioux Falls after 15 years of successful ministry. Jean holds multiple degrees: a bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University with a major in English and minors in Political Science and American History, a master’s of Education with a major in Higher Education and a master’s of Divinity from Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley California. The first half of her adult life, Jean was a student affairs professional in various institutions of higher education, with her last post serving as Dean of Students at the University of South Dakota. Answering a call to ministry, she received her M. Div. in 2001. Jean and her family returned to South Dakota where she served the Brookings United Church of Christ and Spirit of Peace United Church of Christ. Jean currently serves on the SD Planned Parenthood Advisory Council and the Board of South Dakota Voices for Peace. She also serves as Co-chair and Fundraising Chair for Hand in Hand: Justice for Immigrant Children. Jean loves spending time with her 23-year-old daughter, Lizzie, and her pets, dog Gracie and cat Cleo.
