Worship Service with Carter Smith Principle of Life - Unitarian Principles in Daily Life The talk will focus around implementing Unitarian Principles in your day to day life and the challenges we face in doing so when it comes to dealing with difficult situations and individuals in these trying political times. Returning to All Souls from Sioux City, IA, Carter Smith was born and raised on a farm in rural America, where he participated in the day to day operations of the farm, and is a graduate of USD. Carter worked in Data Quality Analytics in the tech and finance fields before switching over to nonprofit work in 2014, after having a personal scare with a friend contracting HIV. He has spent the last four years working with the Siouxland Community Health Center in their HIV program as an HIV Caseworker. Carter has been active with the Siouxland Pride Alliance, the Sierra Club, and is currently President of the Board of Trustees for the First Unitarian Church of Sioux City. Carter resides in a small cottage with his cat Reba Porkchop and dog Seth; in his spare time he gardens, is active in local politics, and enjoys visiting his childhood home to help with farm work. |
