The significant events in our lives most often lead to alternate, unplanned surprises. Our response to surprise requires the capacity to improvise and thus discover adventure as invitation into the unknown which we often define as faith.

Steve Corum is currently the Director of Clinical Pastoral Education for Avera Health. He has worked in Sioux Falls since 1992 and is originally from Sacramento California. He is ordained with the American Baptists and has four grown children so is well aware of “unplanned surprises.”
