Rev. Ted Tollefson will be speaking during the Worship Service in the morning and offering this workshop with leaders, members, and friends of All Souls in the afternoon from 2-4 pm. The topic will be Communication Covenants: Building Community with Good Communication.

Much of our life in community is shaped for better or worse by our habits of communication.   We will tap into our shared wisdom to identify what helps and hinders good communication. Then we will test several “rules of thumb” for good communication in small groups. At the end we will gather what we’ve learned and identify our growing edges as individuals and as a community.

Here’s a “rule of thumb” worth testing: Speak for yourself—use “I”, not “we”, “they’, “you” or “somebody”.

CHILDCARE WILL BE PROVIDED.

Rev. Ted Tollefson has served UU congregations in Minnesota and Wisconsin since 1980.  He teaches psychology at Metro State University in St. Paul, MN.  He lives with his wife Kristen and dog Gryff in Frontenac, MN.
